Best Authentic Italian Food in Edinburgh
The restaurant opened in July 2006 and has been providing good authentic, home made Italian food since. The restaurant takes its name from La Fontana di Trevi - Trevi’s Fountain, one of the world’s most famous landmarks. La Fontana di Trevi was one of Alfredo’s playgrounds (a long, long time ago, when he was young…) and has always been Daniele’s favourite place – he goes back to visit it almost every year.

The restaurant is run by two business partners – Daniele Soscia and A. Alfredo Putrino.
Alfredo and Daniele met about thirty years ago and worked together in various places. Running the restaurant together is the realisation of a dream that they have shared since meeting.
Both Alfredo and Daniele enjoy experimenting with new dishes (some ingredients come directly from Italy) and often spend hours in the kitchen trying new dishes to present to the Restaurants’ customers.
We have received much positive feedback from our customers and intend to keep offering new dishes as the opportunity arises.
